Awards Night & Review of The Year 2015

Wednesday 24th June 2015 at 7.00pm

Snaith Methodist Church

An Invitation

We would like to invite you to our exciting 2015 Awards Night and Annual Review.

This is a chance for all our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to show off some of the things they have been doing over the last year and for the rest of us to recognise their fantastic achievements.

The evening will begin with a short presentation by each of the sections showing off some of their activities. There will be plenty of photos, perhaps some video and – if it goes well – no leaders talking at all! This is a great chance to see what goes on when you trust your children to our care, and it might explain why they return home exhausted and/or muddy.

Annual Awards

Our annual awards will follow and include the Beaver, Cub and Scout of the Year. The young people themselves will have voted for some of the awards.

Recognising the Chief Scouts Award

A number of the young people throughout the Group have achieved their Chief Scout’s Award this year too. The
Chief Scout’s Award is the highest accolade that can be earned in each section, whether it is the Bronze award in the Beavers, Silver award in the Cubs or the Chief Scout’s Gold Award in the Scout Section. We will be presenting certificates to everyone that completed the award this year so that parents, friends and leaders have a chance to congratulate them properly.

Excellent News – and a chance to be involved

The evening will close with a short AGM – and we promise that this will be very short! In fact we plan for this to be no more than 10 minutes.

I am delighted to say that the majority of the current members of the Group Executive Committee have volunteered to stand for re-election. If they are re-elected this would leave two vacancies on the Executive for parent representatives. The AGM is your chance to have a say in who runs the Group or perhaps to become more involved yourself.

Interested or if you would like more information, please feel free to contact a member of the Executive Committee before the meeting.

See you there!

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from the Snaith sections will be attending as part of their normal meeting and the leaders will let you know the arrangements for this. We hope as many Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from the Rawcliffe Bridge sections are able to join us.

Finally, we hope that you will be able to come along too and we look forward to seeing you there.
